If i wanted to take ballet class???? please answer....?

im 15 years old and want to take dance again i was thinking ballet but how would that work? would i have to be with a bunch of little kids cause i have no experience or what? thanks alot for any information!!!!!

If i wanted to take ballet class???? please answer....?the grand theater

Most schools of any quality will offer a teen and/or adult beginners class. If a school tries to put you in with little kids, I wouldn't enroll there anyway because they probably don't have any idea what they're doing. Ballet is a good place to begin for any dance education, as it is a basis for many other types of dance (tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, etc.).

Good luck, and enjoy ballet! It's always been my favorite!

well.. this is my 8 th year taking ballet ... but dont worry about getting stuck with little ons cuz they will put u in a group with teens your age .. and if they see that u really are bad they will give u a sheet saying to come to private corses
They most likely will place you in a class of your own age group at the same level.
They will probably place you in a teens class, who even though started late, will go a little bit faster so you can catch up to where you are sopposed to be if you had started on time.
usually they put you in a class with your age group. usually beginners or a couple years.

but you do the same stuff

so it doesnt matter.
i would try a smaller studio. there u will be with a range of kids that probably dont have any more experience than u do. im in a class with a total of four kids and they range from 9-13. so don't worry about it too much
It depends on the school. Some schools have a teen ballet class for beginners.
most dance schools offer classes for all ages and skill levels. They will have older advanced classes and older beginner classes. Same goes for younger kids. You shouldn't be put with younger kids. If you're not sure, just go to the dance studio and ask.
You should definately go for the ballet class! It works great if your at a good dance studio. Its very fun and I love it! Barre isnt as fun as pointe and other things, but overall i think ballet is the best thing you should do. The dance school you choose will probably have a teen class, with people and teenagers who either stopped doing ballet and would like to continue, or women in their 20-30s, and kids who decided not to do pointe and chose to do ballet recreationally instead, and of course, there are some people with no ballet experience. That group of people is obviously not too hard to keep up with, and the teacher will just give you a workout with elementary and basic ballet material. Try out different dance studios and take a preview kind of class to make sure you like it there, unless you already have a definate place to go to. Hope this helped! GOOD LUCK!
